I cannot emphasise enough on how important it is to have the best cryptocurrency wallet for the safety of your crypto funds.

But finding the right wallet could be challenging for beginners, given the multitude of options out there in the market. Undoubtedly, Hardware wallets are the most secure ones, but one cannot have it instantly.

That’s why it is essential to have secure, easy-to-use mobile wallets to use your crypto funds on the go.

In the past, almost all mobile wallets, whether for Ethereum or Bitcoin, have faced issues related to their safety.

Developing a secure to use mobile wallet is tough because we are unacquainted with developing blockchain wallets. And with this being our first shot at building such tools, mistakes are bound to happen.

But one wallet is being built in style and entirely securely to set a benchmark for others to come – Trust Wallet. We will dig deeper into it today based on the following points.

  • What is Trust Wallet?
  • Trust Wallet Features
  • Supported Currencies
  • Supported Platforms
  • Final Thoughts

What Is Trust Wallet?

Trust wallet is a secure, open-source mobile wallet for multiple block chains like Ethereum, Solana, Bitcoin, Binance smart chain, Polkadot and others. Trust wallet is also a web3 browser wallet that allows you to access DApps.

With the Trust wallet, you get a fully audited wallet competent enough to store, send, and receive all supported crypto assets. Oh, and you have complete control over your private keys!

Phenomenal, isn’t it?

Trust Wallet Features
  • Intuitive and Simple

Trust wallet provides a very intuitive UI to manage and store tokens from multiple blockchains. This is no exaggeration. You can figure it out with just one look.

  • Safe & Secure
Trust Wallet UI

With the Trust wallet, you get bank-level security encryptions and an option for PIN and biometrics to enhance your security. Also, as it is a client-based wallet, you always remain in control of your funds.

  • HD Wallet

Like modern crypto wallets, Trust wallet is also an HD wallet where you don’t need to take a backup of each public/private key pair. Instead, you can keep using the same wallet, and it will back-up things in the background. But the seed phrase is required to be backed-up to restore your wallet in case you lose access to the current one.

  • Custom Fee & Gas

With the Trust wallet, you also get the liberty to configure your gas price, gas limit and thus can customize your transaction fee with these two variables. If you want to know more about gas, gas limit, read this: Ethereum-Ether, Ether Gas, Gas Limit, Gas Price & Fees

  • Built-in Exchange

A decentralized exchange service is also built-in in the Trust wallet so users can exchange tokens using the app. They are soon integrating with Thorswap, which will help you make cross-chain swaps. Example, you can convert your Bitcoin to Ethereum or vice versa without leaving your wallet interface,

With the Trust wallet’s watch feature, one can add other wallet addresses as view only. For example, if you wish to monitor the tokens stored on your Metamask ethereum wallet, all you need to do is, add the Wallet address in Trust wallet, and you can do that.

  • DApp Browser

DApp browser is their most exciting feature. Using Trust wallet, you can access all web3 applications, better known as decentralized apps like Uniswap, Pancakeswap and many others. With this feature, Trust wallet wants to make a community of decentralized apps that can be accessed through Trust wallet.

Supported Cryptocurrencies & Blockchain

As I mentioned earlier, Trust wallet supports multiple blockchain and you can store unlimited cryptocurrencies. Some of the popular supports blockchain on Trust wallet are:

  • Bitcoin
  • Ethereum
  • Near
  • Avax
  • Solana
  • Binance smart chain
  • Polygon

Supported Platform

Trust wallet is available as iOS app, Android app and recently the launched the browser extension, which now makes them an alternative to Metamask.

How to buy Crypto using the Trust wallet:

One of the cool features of Trust wallet is; you can buy cryptos directly from the wallet itself. You don’t need to use 3rd party exchanges like Binance or Coinbase to buy crypto. The process is simple, and the below image explains how you can purchase crypto on Trust wallet:

Trust wallet crypto purchase is powered by Moonpay, which accepts visa and MasterCard. If you have used Trust wallet to buy crypto, let me know your experience in the comment section below.

Note: Trust wallet also offers a token called TWT. You can read my analysis of TWT token here.

Final Thoughts: Is Trust Wallet Safe?

Trust wallet has been around for a while and is undoubtedly well tested by time, so you can trust it with your funds.

The Trust wallet has prepared a comprehensive security review case to prove its worth in the market. And I am yet to see such a thorough security review by another mobile wallet in the cryptosphere.

However, no matter how safe a mobile or software wallet is, one should never store their fortune in it.

For that, we strongly recommend you use Ledger Nano-like hardware wallets. For daily use and accessing your favorite DApps, you can use the Trust wallet.

  • Supported Operating System: Android & iOS, Popular browser
  • In-built Exchange: Popular dApps
  • Private Keys: Controlled by the owner
  • Cost: Free to use
  • Segwit Enabled: No

Lastly, Binance has acquired the Trust wallet, which speaks about its quality.

That is all from my side in introducing the Trust Wallet.

However, if you are super excited to use the Trust Wallet right now, try it out on Android & iOS platform.

I hope this detailed analysis helps you in making the right decision. Share your take with us in the comments below!
