Not properly maintained

This was once my favorite wallet app—clean, simple, straightforward. I love that you can generate QR codes for specific amounts. But now it crashes any time you’ve received Bitcoin and try to refresh your wallet, or anytime you try to review your transactions at any point. That really doesn’t inspire confidence. I was hoping this was a temporary glitch, but it’s been that way all year, and I don’t think I can continue to trust it with future transactions. I wish they would just update it so it would stop crashing. It would be my go to wallet and I’d recommend it to everyone.

Don’t use the iOS version

I used to use Mycelium on my old Galaxy and it worked great! No major problems or bugs. That is certainly not the case with their iOS wallet.

It is so incredibly buggy that I can’t open my transactions tab without the app crashing completely. At this point, all I want to do is get my bitcoin away from Mycelium, but nothing seems to work. I backed up my wallet and tried importing it into numerous other wallets, but none of them have worked. I also tried sending my bitcoin to a different wallet. Unfortunately, only 1/5 of my balance appears to be eligible for sending. I’m sure it’s a bug, but it’s a pretty major oversight by a once-great bitcoin wallet.

At this point I just want to get my bitcoin and leave Mycelium for good. There are far better options nowadays. Use the iOS version at your own risk.

#1 Best Bitcoin Wallet, Highly recommended!

I got into bitcoin in 2011, and I've recommended this wallet to friends for 5+ years now. This app follows good software philosophy: Do one thing well. It lets you send and receive bitcoin. No ID, no email, no password, just a simple, fast wallet. You can back it up in case you lose your phone, so your money is always safe.

Don't believe the bad reviews. This is the best bitcoin wallet for new users and power users alike. I've never seen it have a single bug or issue. I can't say the same of any other wallets. 5 Stars well earned.
